Software Outsourcing India
Software Outsourcing
The need to rapidly complete large development projects has caused
many organizations in recent years to consider outsourcing work
rather than perform development in-house. Another major reason is
also the reduction in costs that can be achieved, compared to those
incurred if the work is executed in their own IT department.
Development time can also be shortened, especially if the company
does not already have the skills required to undertake the project.
Outsourcing development overseas is termed Offshore Development.
As an Indian company we have an advantage of the least competitive
pricing achieved by our development center in India, where labor
costs are lower. India also has the advantage, that of being English
Speaking. Most education in India is in English. Also India has the
lowest software cost/productivity ratio in the world.
As a leading Software Solution provider, we can make skilled
resources available as you need from the vast pool of resources we
have available in India.
Two types of Offshore Models are possible.
Software Application Outsourcing
Clients outsource the development of a specific application to us.
Reasons for this type of project vary from time-to-market urgency,
to lack of in-house expertise, to cost savings. In this process,
part of the work mostly design is done on-site or on-shore and rest
is done offshore. In this model we manage all the resources,
infrastructure, projects and deliverables. All processes including
project management, quality management and standards and norms used
are according to our company specifications. The client allocates
tasks and manages reviews.
IT Resource Outsourcing
For this type of a project we provide all the infrastructure
requirements and a specified number of full-time IT personnel to the
client. Client will define and provide the required hardware and
software to us. The processes, methodologies, and standards of the
offshore center may be those of clients or ours. These projects are
usually undertaken on a long-term commitment basis of at least
one-year. Currently we undertake these types of assignments if there
is a need for at least 5 full-time professionals over a period of
minimum one-year.
